Special Touches

Here are some of the special details added to the New Holly Jolly bakery on Main Street. It is centered around one of my favorite Disney movies, Mary Poppins.

I'm glad that Disneyland spends so much time and effort on the atmosphere of the park because I am never impressed with the food. What do you guys think? Do you enjoy the park food?

On Main Street

My family loves to relax in this little alley on Main Street and have some yummy ice cream. If you listen closely you can hear Goofy brushing his teeth and taking a shower in the video I shot on our last visit.  For other great Disney blogs visit Focused on the Magic.

Wordless Wednesday

Did you know that the Enchanted Tiki room doesn't have a Hidden Mickey. On my last trip I was told it use to be one of the perches the birds sat on but during the last renovation it was run over by a utility vehicle.

Line Times

Just in case you were wondering just how Disneyland provides us with those wait times for the rides. The cast member handed it to me at the start of the line on Autotopia and asked me to hand it to the last cast member before I got on the ride...btw it made me feel very important, haha!

The Hatbox Ghost

When the Haunted Mansion opened in 1969 The Hatbox Ghost was one of the many ghosts that resided in the Mansion. Unfortunately do to poor lighting and angles the Hatbox Ghost was removed from the ride only a few days after it opened. The funny thing is when they removed the Ghost he actually disappeared. Even the molds are missing. Years and years went by where only memories of the Hatbox Ghost were shared by the lucky few who saw it on the ride the first few days. To this day there are only two actual pieces of evidence that it even existed, other than word of mouth. One being this picture below and a short clip from a guest video from 1969.
