Our Pirate Adventrue

We had a great time on or last trip to Disneyland. We visited the park on Sept 5th so we were able to make reservations at the Pirate's League that opened Sept 1st.

My son absolutely loved it.

You could either choose to be a first mate or Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He chose to be Jake. After you are all made up you read a pirates oath and learn how to sword fight. Then you are officially in the pirates crew!

My family loved our experience at the Pirates League. The only complaint I had was that the make-up got everywhere. It even ended up on my husbands shirt later in the day.

Movie Star

I have seen a few movie stars and celebrities at Disneyland, Kobe Bryant, Diane Keaton, Wil Wheaton but on Wednesday the 5th we saw Christian Bale!!! OMG, you might know him from the musical Newsies from 1992!

 

Oh and those recent BATMAN movies!

As we sat down to ride Thunder Mountain he was escorted up through the exit. I was only ten feet away from him! HAHA! He sat on the train after ours so we waited for him to come off the ride and my hubby snapped a picture. ( I was to chicken!)

A Disney Birthday

My sister knows how much I love Disney so she made me this cake for my birthday. I love it!!!

Special Touches

Here are some of the special details added to the New Holly Jolly bakery on Main Street. It is centered around one of my favorite Disney movies, Mary Poppins.

I'm glad that Disneyland spends so much time and effort on the atmosphere of the park because I am never impressed with the food. What do you guys think? Do you enjoy the park food?

On Main Street

My family loves to relax in this little alley on Main Street and have some yummy ice cream. If you listen closely you can hear Goofy brushing his teeth and taking a shower in the video I shot on our last visit.  For other great Disney blogs visit Focused on the Magic.

Wordless Wednesday

Did you know that the Enchanted Tiki room doesn't have a Hidden Mickey. On my last trip I was told it use to be one of the perches the birds sat on but during the last renovation it was run over by a utility vehicle.

Line Times

Just in case you were wondering just how Disneyland provides us with those wait times for the rides. The cast member handed it to me at the start of the line on Autotopia and asked me to hand it to the last cast member before I got on the ride...btw it made me feel very important, haha!
